A broken WordPress site. Rebuilt from scratch in just 2 weeks.

// VETERINARY · BARCELONA · SINCE 2026

Clínica Veterinaria Rovira has been caring for pets in Barcelona's Gràcia neighbourhood for more than 20 years. Its website barely existed: Catalan only, no real service pages, placeholder posts in English unrelated to veterinary care, no Search Console and no analytics. We rebuilt it from scratch.

// The challenge

An excellent clinic. A website that didn't exist.

Clínica Veterinaria Rovira had everything it needed to rank well locally: over 20 years of history, more than 200 positive Google reviews, a team specialising in feline medicine, dermatology and nutrition, and a physical location in one of Barcelona's liveliest neighbourhoods.

The problem was its website. Built on WordPress and completely abandoned, it was only in Catalan. The only indexed pages were /services/ and a blog of English placeholder posts with nothing to do with veterinary care. No Google Search Console, no analytics, no working contact form, no replies to its 200+ reviews. The clinic was a neighbourhood favourite, but invisible to anyone searching for a vet in Gràcia from outside it — including the area's many English-speaking pet owners.

// Before and after

The difference is visible.

A Catalan-only website, with English placeholder posts on topics unrelated to veterinary care, no working contact form and practically invisible to Google. Compared with the new one.

// BEFORE — abandoned WordPress · Catalan only · no real content

// AFTER — Astro · 3 languages
· 11 service pages · 100/100 PageSpeed

// Results

A perfect technical base. Growing visibility.

With the website freshly launched and GSC installed for the first time, traffic data is just starting to build up. What we can already measure is the quality of the starting point.

// PageSpeed Insights desktop — 100 performance, 100 SEO

40+ URLs indexed

The new website goes from practically zero useful indexed pages to more than 40 URLs with real content: 11 services in 3 languages, team, FAQs, blog and support pages.

200+ reviews answered

A reputation asset that had gone unused for years. Every review now has a reply and the GBP profile is active with regular posts — a direct signal in the Local Pack.

A clear entity for Google and AI

With MedicalBusiness schema, GPTBot allowed and consistency across website, GBP and directories, Google and AI models now have an unambiguous entity for the clinic, its location and its specialities.

// Current phase

// completed

Phase 1 complete. Collecting data in GSC.

The new website is indexed and Google is processing the content architecture. With GSC installed for the first time, we're starting to see which searches generate impressions and which pages have the most growth potential.

// next

Local content blog and authority strategy.

With the technical base cleaned up, the next step is a content strategy targeting local searches with visit intent: "vet in Gràcia Barcelona", "feline vet clinic Barcelona", "dog vaccinations Barcelona". Each article is a new way in from Google and from AI.
